The PINT or PUB Style glass
The pint or Pub glass is a versatile beer glass. Typically considered "proper" for ales, stouts, and porters. Some bars also use this to serve their lighter lager beers. Its hard to be "wrong" with the traditional pint or Pub style glass. Pros: Allows for good head formation and viewing of beers color Cons: Does not concentrate the aroma

The PILSNER glass
The Pilsner (or Pilsener) glass is available in more styles than shown but is typically tall, smaller at the base, and larger on the drinking end. Obviously used for Pilsners and often lager style beers. Pros: Allows for good head formation and color viewing, gives a tall column of effervescence for well carbonated and non-cloudy beers. Cons: Does not concentrate aroma

Goblet or Snifter Glasses
The goblet or snifter style glasses are often used for barleywine style ales, scotch style ales, and aromatic stouts. Particularly suitable for barleywines and scotch style ales that typically do not form significant heads regardless of the glass or the pour. Pros: Excellent for concentrating the aroma for aromatic beers Cons: Will hinder the head formation of your beer.
