The Beer Collage Wall Hanging
Beer bottle labels are an excellent artistic medium. They contain nearly every color imaginable from sparkling foil to dull black and about
everything in between. In addition to the array of colors and shades there are specific pictures including owls, ships, fish, whales, people,
houses, dogs, plants, deer, moose, devils, witches, goblins, skeletons, trains, birds, vampires, oak barrels, baseballs, cereal bowls, goats,
scarecrows, wood burning stoves, female legs, lions, books of poetry, geese, seals, playing cards, anchors, bicycles, pirates, castles, city
skylines, snow covered cabins, horse drawn carriages, sunsets, etc., etc., etc., you get the idea.
Below are two examples of awesome wall hangings for the home bar or den, made with labels from beers drank by the creator. Following the
pictures are instructions for making your own !

Making your Own (You must be 21 !)
1. Purchase the following: beer with labels that you like, some Masonite or smooth wood, razor blade, small paint brush, and some white glue.
2. After you are done enjoying the beers, soak the empty bottles in ice cold water for 12 hours to soften the glue.
3. Carefully remove the label with a razor blade starting at a corner and working diagonally or the path of least resistance.
4. Allow labels to dry for a minimum of one hour.
5. Mix standard white glue and hot water (half and half), stirring well with paint brush.
6. Figure where you want your label and cut it to shape as needed or desired. *Hint - for an overlapping appearance, cut out the section of label
that would normally be covered in an overlap. If you actually overlap the labels you can get undesirable appearance "bleed through" of the bottom
label into the top label.
7. Use a small paint brush to spread the glue and hot water mix over the entire back surface of label.
8. Immediately press the label onto your Masonite in the location desired, working out the wrinkles. Maintain pressure on the label for a minimum
of 10 seconds.
9. Repeat steps 3-8 for all labels.
10. Once all labels are in place, put something on top of the labels to maintain pressure overnight.
11. Hang your beer collage wall hanging in your home bar or den for an awesome look and conversation piece; you have had every beer on there
so you can talk about each one !
